FAQ
Do you take insurance?
-
While Gall Neuropsychology does not accept insurance, several potential benefits exist for private-pay neuropsychological services:
-
Self-pay practices often have SHORTER WAITLISTS, meaning you can receive the care you deserve in a timely manner.
-
Greater PRIVACY with your evaluation results. Negative results, if discovered by your insurance company, may impact your insurance rates or coverage. Some results may even impact life insurance rates and/or eligibility.
-
Greater CONTROL over your care by avoiding insurance restrictions.
-
What if I cannot afford the evaluation?
-
If you cannot afford the evaluations but still want to see if insurance will reimburse a portion of the charges, a superbill can be generated to submit to your insurance. However, not all insurance policies offer reimbursement, so it is important to check with your insurance company about your out-of-network benefits if you choose this option.
-
If you cannot afford the evaluations but do not want to use insurance or do not want to wait for an evaluation elsewhere, financing options may be available to you.
-
One such option is Advance Care, which allows up to 14 months of interest-free financing for certain individuals who qualify.
-
Sliding scales are also available for some patients.
-
What ages do you evaluate? Do you evaluate children?
-
At this time, most of our evaluations are conducted on individuals 18 years and up; however, we do see all high school-aged students for ADHD and academic evaluations.
How long does each evaluation take?
-
The length of the evaluation depends on various factors, including the type of evaluation and the speed of the examinee.
-
Typically, the initial intake interview will take 30-60 minutes but can be shorter or extend beyond this timeframe. Completing the new patient paperwork in its entirety will make the intake interview flow more efficiently.
-
The testing often lasts from 3-6 hours but can be shorter or extend beyond this timeframe.
-
The feedback session, in which we review the results of the testing, typically lasts 30-60 minutes but can be shorter or extend beyond this timeframe. Feedbacks are often scheduled about one week after the testing, and you will receive a report with your evaluation findings at that time.
